Pink Friday lipstick!

After the release of her album 'Pink Friday' Nicki Minaj has designed her own lisptick for MAC called 'pink for friday' which apparently you can only buy on a friday?! AND... it's already sold out! I guess i'll have to wait!

It is such a cute shade of girly pink and I think would suit most skin tones... & so I think most people will love it.

Has anyone got it yet?

Snowy days

I don't know what to make of all this snowy weather? I thought we had enough earlier this year and that I would be fed up of it by now... but when I look out of the window it's so pretty! It wasn't too bad when i left my house to go to college this morning but at about 11 o'clock it was like a snow storm, looking out the window felt like we were inside a snow globe!

I was quite excited to go outside and take some pictures to post here but when i switched on my camera it was just my luck to find the memory card was missing... how typical?!  Maybe I will be able to take some tomorrow! 

So, what to wear in this crazy weather? As it is I am not much of a morning person so lately I've been picking out my clothes before I go to bed... for tomorrow I've chosen a grey winter dress, thick tights, a warm coat and some sparkly ballet shoes (although I'm not sure if my shoes will get ruined in the snow so i might change them in the morning)

Mario Sorenti & Naomi Campbell

I went back to my old sixth form yesterday to pick up some of my AS and A2 level work... it was so weird looking at work I had done only last year and comparing it to what I'm doing on my foundation course at the moment! I like to think I have improved quite a bit, haha! Anyway, while i was looking through my fashion photography sketchbook I saw these pictures of Naomi Campbell by photographer Mario Sorenti that I had used as research and remembered how much I loved them. They were for the August 2008 edition of V magazine

& i have just found this behind the scene's video from the shoot, it's only short so you have to watch it just to see the moving images at the end (look how amazing her white wedges are!!!)

NYC!

Finally, after wanting to go to New York for such a long time I'm going in December & I could not be more excited! I am going for a week and will be spending Christmas there!

While i was google'ing? a picture for this blog post i came across a street photographer called Markus Hartel, a German photographer now living in NY who documents everyday people while roaming the streets. I did a project with this theme at AS level but my pictures were definitely not as amazing as this guys! I ♥♥♥ this style of photography because it is an unaltered reflection of people and places & of things you see all the time but don't notice :) Check out his other photographs and projects on his website... www.markushartel.com
