With a collection inspired by religious iconography and Florentine opulence, Gareth Pugh made his Italian fashion debut at Pitti Immagine . Showcasing his clothes via a unique fashion film, created with Ruth Hogben and projected onto the ceiling of a 14th-century church, Pugh melded the grand traditions and art of this ancient city with his own hyper-modern fashion vision.

Photograms

Some photograms I produced in photography back in October, I've used all kinds of random objects to get these shapes including key rings, jewelery and headphones! Hope you like them!

There were a few different photographers I looked at before starting this project to see what their ideas were and how they developed them. One of them was Man Ray, his work also used random objects to block light onto the photographic paper. Some of the objects he uses have different transparencies so only some light is blocked.

Ashish for Topshop

I was just browsing Topshop as you do and saw these 4 designs by 'Ashish' and I actually love them! The tee's are £40 and the sweaters £60!

Amber Hards

After being given the theme 'fragile forms' for my new project I started looking at knitwear fashion and textile designers. They were all very different and interesting but one that stood out to me was Amber Hards, a knitwear designer from the University of the West of England Bristol. Her work is delicate and elegant and she shows lots of detail in her innovative designs. 

Her sketchbooks are so detailed and show exactly where she has taken her ideas from from start to finish!

Fashion Illustration

 

I'm definitely not the best person at drawing ever so when my teacher taught me some basic illustration I was quite excited and had ago at a few more for a final collection for my construction/contrast project.   The designs link in with different pieces of work and architecture.. some of which is only in my sketchbook.
